About
me
Janay is a licensed mental health professional passionate about fostering community well-being and workplace wellness.
Let’s be honest: we spend most of our time in the workplace, and what happens at home or work follows us to our next destination.
Janay entered the social work field out of a genuine care for people. Early on, she recognized that social work would allow her to explore various industries, grow intellectually, and discover the best ways to serve others—without feeling confined to a single area while enjoying the work she loves.
In her diverse roles, Janay often became the go-to person for clients and coworkers seeking ways to balance personal and work-related stress. It was not until her time as an Employee Assistance Program Counselor that she realized her true calling: helping individuals feel seen, heard, and appreciated in the workplace.
She observed the intricate connections between mental health, substance use, and occupational well-being, which drove her to empower individuals to develop healthy coping strategies and build confidence—whether in their current positions or during their job search, despite any challenges they may face.
Today, Janay is as passionate as ever about supporting others, focusing on mental health and employee well-being—two inextricably linked areas.
